Production Divisions

From our early days focused on outdoor products, we have grown into a brand that embraces a diverse palette of materials and techniques—each selected with intention, each shaped with care. Based on those spirits, we sparate our production division to develope new product and innovation. Here are the divisions of manufacturing we have:

Teak Manufacturing Division

Teak Log Selection
We carefully select high-quality teakwood with SVLK and SFC certification to guarantee legal sourcing and sustainable supply. Teak’s natural durability and beauty make it the ideal material for long-lasting outdoor furniture.
Sawmill
In sawmill area, teak wood logs are split into several thicknesses according to needs before being cut into components
Kiln Dry
All teakwood undergoes a kiln-drying process to reduce its moisture content (MC) to a stable 8–12%. This step ensures the wood maintains its shape, structural integrity, and durability over time, preventing warping, cracking, or deformation.
Machinery Process
Our factory is equipped with modern machinery, including CNC machines, to cut, shape, and process materials into components with precision. This allows us to maintain uniformity in dimensions and designs, while ensuring production efficiency.
Assembly
Expert craftsmanship is applied during the assembly process, where skilled artisans carefully assemble each piece of furniture. The combination of experience and attention to detail ensures products are not only functional but also visually refined.
Sanding
The sanding process of teak garden furniture is a critical step in both maintenance and finishing, as it ensures a smooth surface, removes imperfections, and prepares the wood for oiling or finishing.
Finishing
Teak naturally contains oils and silica, which make it durable and resistant to decay, but finishing improves aesthetics and weather resistance, especially for outdoor exposure. The finishing usually used in our outdoor products are UV coating and grey finish.

Alumunium and Stainless Steel Manufacturing Division

Alumunium and Stainless Profile

The first step is choosing the appropriate aluminum pipe profile based on design requirements. Factors considered include:

Diameter and thickness: Determines the strength and load-bearing capacity.
Alloy type: Commonly 6061 or 6063 aluminum for outdoor use due to corrosion resistance.
Surface condition: Smooth, defect-free pipes are selected to ensure consistent finishing.

The material itself is made in our factory PT. Aluminium Industri Mandiri that has export quality.

Cutting
Pipes are cut to the required lengths using precision saws or automated cutting machines. Accurate cutting ensures proper alignment and reduces material waste.
Bending
Bending shapes the pipes according to the design. This is often done using hydraulic or CNC pipe-bending machines. Key considerations:

Maintaining pipe integrity: Avoiding cracks, wrinkles, or deformation.
Spring-back allowance: Aluminum tends to slightly return to its original shape after bending, so adjustments are necessary.
Welding
Pipe components are joined using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding. The process involves:

Precise alignment: Fixtures are used to maintain correct angles.
Weld quality: Smooth and consistent welds without gaps to maintain structural strength and aesthetic appearance.
Post-weld inspection: Ensures there are no cracks or weak points.
Polishing
After welding, the joints and pipe surfaces are smoothed using grinders or sanders. This step:

Removes excess weld material.
Prepares the surface for powder coating by creating a slightly rough texture that improves adhesion.
Powder Coating
Powder coating provides corrosion resistance, color, and a uniform finish:

Surface preparation: Pipes are cleaned and degreased. Sometimes sandblasting is applied for better adhesion.
Powder application: Electrostatic spray guns apply dry powder evenly.
Curing: Coated parts are baked in an oven at high temperatures to fuse the powder into a durable finish.
Assembly
Final assembly combines all coated components according to the design:

Bolts, screws, or brackets are used where needed.
Moving parts such as hinges or joints are checked for smooth operation.
Finished furniture is inspected for quality, stability, and uniform coating.
This sequence ensures that aluminum outdoor furniture is durable, weather-resistant, and visually appealing. Proper execution at each step, especially welding and powder coating, is critical to avoid structural failures or premature wear.

Rope and Rattan Weaving

Rope and Rattan Material
The rope is made from high-quality polypropylene, UV-resistant (US Standard), and designed for long-lasting outdoor use. Laboratory-tested for 2,500 hours, it retains strength, color, and flexibility under sun and weather exposure, making it ideal for durable and low-maintenance outdoor furniture. The rope is made by ourselves in the rope division called Rope House, so that customers can also request custom colors and patterns.
Meanwhile, the rattan we use is synthetic rattan that is Strongly Durable, Highly Customizable, and Eco-Friendly Materials.
The Weaving
At Latar Living, we merge durable polypropylene rope and premium synthetic rattan with carefully crafted aluminum and teak wood frames to create outdoor furniture that is modern, distinctive, and culturally inspired. Leveraging our expertise in weaving, each piece is meticulously crafted to achieve both aesthetic beauty and structural strength. This combination allows us to design furniture that is visually striking, long-lasting, and weather-resistant, blending contemporary elegance with a unique ethnic character, making every product memorable.

Foam Cutting and Seawing

Foam
We use QuickDry Foam from Urecel, specially formulated for outdoor applications. This foam provides excellent drainage, breathability, and long-lasting comfort, ensuring the cushions remain dry and resilient even under outdoor conditions.
Fabric
Our fabrics are specifically designed for outdoor use, featuring fade-resistant and weatherproof properties. This ensures the upholstery retains its vibrant colors and texture, even when exposed to sun, rain, or humidity.
Foam Application
During this stage, foam is carefully glued and layered with dacron padding onto the furniture forms, providing both structure and softness. This step ensures a uniform and comfortable seating experience.
Seawing
The fabric is then stitched using specialized outdoor threads by our skilled artisans, guaranteeing that the upholstery is neatly tailored, wrinkle-free, and securely fastened. This expert craftsmanship ensures that each piece maintains its elegant appearance and durability over time.
Through this integrated process, Latar Living delivers premium outdoor upholstery that combines technical performance with refined aesthetics, reflecting our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
